Peer Advocates for Wellbeing Recruitment 2024-2025
Support the Well-Being of Students at Cal State East Bay! Peer Advocates for Wellbeing (PAW) is an opportunity offered through Student Wellbeing Services at California State University, East Bay. We are accepting applications for the following positions:
Position Description

- Work in a student-oriented program that is fun, educational, and supportive
- Obtain exposure to health careers and networking opportunities
Required Qualifications
- Be a currently enrolled California State University, East Bay student and enrolled during Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters
- Be in good academic standing (minimum GPA 2.0)
- Commit to Summer 2024 training (see information below)
- Commit to working Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters
- Attend weekly PAW Meetings on Fridays from 10am-12pm during Fall Semester 2024

All positions are required to work in person.
Preferred Experience
- Previous peer educator or food pantry experience
- Leadership or volunteer experience
- Public Health, Kinesiology, Sociology, Psychology, or similar majors
- Strong communication, public speaking, and outreach skills
Summer 2024 PAW Training
If selected for a position, the applicant must successfully complete PAW Training during Summer 2024. All training is conducted in person. PAW Training includes:
- New PAW Training: June 3-28, 2024 OR July 8-August 2, 2024
- All PAW Retreat: Week of August 12-16, 2024 (exact dates/times to be announced)
