California Government Code 11135 requires the CSU to comply with Section 508 and to apply accessibility standards to Information and Communication Technology (ICT) products and services that it buys, creates, uses, and maintains. How to Use UDOIT and TidyUp for Course Accessibility

In this workshop, we will demonstrate two new tools called UDOIT (Universal Design Online Content Inspection Tool) and TidyUP. UDOIT is is a tool that has replaced ALLY in all Canvas courses. It can identify and assist in fixing accessibility issues in your Canvas courses. TidyUP is a tool that is integrated in Canvas that can organize your Canvas files and pages. The deadline to meet the changes to ADA, Section 504/508 is approaching. It's important that faculty update their online materials to ensure they comply with the new law. The use of UDOIT and TidyUP can help enrich the online learning environment for all students, and demonstrates a commitment to best practices in online/hybrid teaching.
