Beginning April 24, 2026, campus will be required to ensure that all digital course materials are accessible to individuals with disabilities, in compliance with Title II of the ADA.

California Government Code 11135 requires the CSU to comply with Section 508 and to apply accessibility standards to Information and Communication Technology (ICT) products and services that it buys, creates, uses, and maintains. This workshop will introduce you to the basics of making documents more accessible using Grackle Docs (for Google Documents), Accessibility Checker for Microsoft Word, and Acrobat Pro for PDFs. Learn how to use helpful tools that check for accessibility issues, and tips and tricks for remediating these issues in order to provide fully accessible documents to everyone.

Title II Series, Learning Management System (LMS) Workshop: Meeting Accessibility Standards in your Hybrid/Online Classes
Are your online/hybrid courses ready for April 2026 when new requirements in Title II of the Americans with Disability Act will be enacted?
