There is also a Student Health Center fee ($187.5) per term.

* For the Intensive English Program only, students have an option to pay for a full Fall or Spring semester (16 weeks) at a discounted price ($5,000) or pay for a single 8-week session ($2,800).  

** For the Visiting Student Program, students must take at least 12 units if taking both undergraduate and graduate courses in a semester. Undergraduate courses are $350 per unit and graduate courses are $400 per unit. 

*** Health insurance is mandatory and prices are subject to change. 


How to Pay Your Fees

You may pay by cash or check by mail or in person. You may pay with a credit card online only. 

Pay Online

A secure online payment system is available through MyCSUEB for your convenience and is managed by a trusted third-party provider contracted by the University. You can pay by credit card or electronic check. Cal State East Bay's online pay interface accepts American Express, Discover, MasterCard and VISA. There is a non-refundable 2.9% service charge for paying with a credit card. International Bank Transfer (available through MyCSUEB) is another convenient way to pay from overseas.

Pay in Person

You may pay fees in person, with check, money order, cashier's check, or cash at the Cashier's office. Sorry, we do not accept credit cards at the Cashier's office.

Withdrawals and Refund

    • No refund of application fees or registration fees.
    • 100% refund of tuition fees if request for refund is approved before the 1st day of classes.
    • 65% refund if request for refund is approved before the 5th day of classes.
    • No refund after 4:00 p.m. on the 5th day of classes.
    • For the Intensive English Program, no refund will be given for a shortened program (changing from 16 weeks to 8 weeks) after the deadlines below. After these deadlines, only the 8-week option will be available. 
      • New students - 2:00 p.m. on the last day of New Student Orientation
      • Continuing students - 2:00 p.m. on the last day of classes prior to the new session 

Late Fee

  • New students will be charged a late fee of $75 for tuition payment after 2:00 p.m. on the last day of New Student Orientation.
  • Continuing students will be charged a late fee of $75 for tuition payment after 2:00 p.m. on the last day of classes prior to the new session.

Returned Check

A returned check penalty fee of $25.00 will be charged to a student’s account for any check dishonored by the drawee bank. The returned check and penalty fee must be paid by cash, credit card or money order. Payments made by a returned check are reversed from the student’s account, leaving the balance due and payable immediately. Outstanding balances are subject to the unpaid fees and delinquent accounts policy and may result in the students being dropped from their classes.
