Renewing Your Student Organization

Renewing your student organization's recognition is a four-step process that can be mostly completed online. Completing this process will ensure that your student organization will have all rights and privileges, including reserving space on campus, access to ASI Funding, etc. Follow the instructions below.

  1. Complete the organization's Registration Form in BaySync

Login to BaySync with your Net ID and password and go to "Organizations".
Once there, click on "Register an Organization".
At the top where it says "Find an organization to re-register" search for your organization name and click the blue "Re-Register" button on the right.
Read the first page completely! You must have all of the necessary information ready to enter in order to submit the form. Your club/organization's recognition request will be reviewed for the upcoming year.
  2. Complete the Recognition & Renewal Officer Training

Once you submit the student organization Registration Form on BaySync, you and your officers will be added to a Canvas Course to complete modules for Officer Training. Everyone will get an email notification so make sure you notify each of your officers that they will need to complete the Officer Training modules.
A minimum of three (3) individual submissions, one by each officer, must be fully completed.
Our recommendation is to allocate no more than two hours to complete this online training.
Once Recognition and Renewal has been submitted on BaySync we will add the officers listed to the Canvas Course. It may take up to two (2) business days for us to add you to the course.
  3. On-Campus Advisor Completes Form

Every student organization must have a CSUEB staff or faculty member that serves as the On-Campus Advisor. The On-Campus Advisor must also complete and submit their form to accept the responsibility of guiding your organization. The officer completing the registration form will need to email the On-Campus Advisor to request they complete the On-Campus Advisor form in BaySync. Off-Campus Advisors are optional, not required. If your student organization has an Off-Campus Advisor (alumni, nationals representative, etc.) have them complete the Off-Campus Advisor Form.

  4. Attend the Fall Leadership Conference and Spring Symposium

Attendance at the Fall Leadership Conference is required for all officers. We highly encourage ALL of your student organization members to attend these important leadership opportunities as well. Save the Date for Fall Leadership Conference: Friday, September 29, 2023.
