The Cal State East Bay Department of History is exceptionally fortunate in being able to award approximately $25,000 in substantial scholarships and academic honors every year, to approximately 20 History BA and MA majors. You may learn more about the many scholarships we award here. Application windows are available in both Fall and Spring semesters, depending on the award, and recipients are announced at our annual student history conference at the end of the Spring semester.
Generous donors to the Department of History make these scholarships and awards possible. Known collectively as the Friends of History, these donors are emeritus faculty, Cal State East Bay History alumni, and community organizations who share a deep commitment to the study of the past by diverse History majors and who share a love of Cal State East Bay.
