San Francisco Bay Area Chinese Community Depression Education Project

2013 - present
Rose Wong (Social Work) Ongoing community-based research project to develop culturally sensitive (Chinese and English language) depression assessment and educational materials (videos, screening instruments, brochures, posters) and educational programs for immigrant teens, adults and older adults as well as for professionals who serve immigrants in primary care, social services and mental health settings. "Photovoice" Art Exhibit by Artists with Developmental Disabilities

Sarah Taylor (Social Work) "Hope, Family and Possibility": A year-long project co-facilitated by Dr. Taylor and three MSW students, with 11 artists with developmental disabilities at the Arc of Alameda County. The purpose was to empower a population whose voices are rarely heard to share their experiences with the general public and to augment the Arc’s program evaluation efforts with a qualitative perspective.
