Youth Enrichment Services
CSUEB has partnered with Youth Enrichment Services at the Hayward Adult School to provide youth in the Eden and Eden Unicorporated Areas with meaningful work experience. This partnership provides students with the unique experience of working alongside the Facilities Development and Operations Department in hopes of gaining important skills for future employment.
Youth Enrichment Services provides education and employment services to program eligible youth ages 16-24. Through YES, youth gain the following services and opportunities:
- Tutoring, study skills training, and instruction
- Alternative secondary school services
- Paid and unpaid work experience
- Occupational skills training
- Education
- Leadership development opportunities
- Support services
- Adult mentoring
- Follow-up services for 12 months
- Comprehensive guidance and couseling
- Financial literacy education
- Entrepreneurial skills training
- Labor market and employment information
- Post-secondary education and training
