MESA Graduation Requirements
High School Seniors and 8th graders who are active in MESA are eligible to apply for MESA Graduation. MESA Graduates are honored at our annual end-of-the-year Awards Banquet. Applications will be available in April 2018. Below are the MESA Graduation criteria.
8th Grade Outstanding Achievement Graduation Requirements
Requirements include:
- Complete Algebra I
- Must compete in a MESA Day Competition
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- MESA Student Leadership (a plus!)
High School Senior Certificate of Graduation
Requirements include:
- 4 years of college preparatory Mathematics
- 4 years of college preparatory English
- Chemistry or Physics
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8
- MESA School Program participation
High School Senior Outstanding Achievement Certificate of Graduation
Requirements include:
- 4 years of college preparatory Mathematics
- 4 years of college preparatory English
- Chemistry AND Physics
- Complete "A-G" subject requirements for
University of California or California State University - Minimum cumulative GPA=3.3
- Must be involved with MESA for *2 years and senior year must account for one of them
- MESA School Program participation (leadership participation a plus)
