I appreciate that so many of you have reached out with offers of assistance and your understanding of the stress and pressure this creates for members of our campus community. If you haven’t already had the opportunity to participate in one of our “UndocuAlly Training” sessions, I encourage you to do so.
Lastly, rest assured that I will be working with students, faculty and staff groups to urge Congress to restore the DACA program. Your voices are needed to ensure the Dream Act will continue and I hope you will join me on this important issue.

This program enabled thousands of academically qualified Californians to pursue their dreams at California State University campuses, and was widely acknowledged as a strategic benefit to our state and, indeed, our nation. I am joining with colleagues throughout the United States to urge Congress to pursue legislation that will restore the heart of this forward-thinking program in a timely manner.Read More

I am very disappointed with the decision to rescind the Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. As your ASI President, I represent all students, including those who are undocumented. I promise to continue my support during this time to all of our DACA students. Associated Students Incorporated will be doing everything in our power to advocate for, protect and support our undocumented students, as they are a vital asset to our campus.Learn More about action you can take
