Notetaking

Notetaking Express (NTE) is a website that allows you to upload recorded audio from your class lectures. A notetaker then listens to the audio and provides notes within 48 hours.

At the end of each semester, your NTE account is deactivated. To ensure that you have access for the new semester, please submit your semester request for course notes through Accommodate. Your NTE account will be reactivated once your request has been approved.
Once we receive your request for course notes, we reactivate your account with a set password. Once you have logged into your NTE account with this password, feel free to change it to your liking.
Please make sure that you’ve made a semester request for course notes. If your request has already been approved, make sure that you’re using the email that was used to submit your request when logging in.
If you’re unable to upload your recordings, it’s possible that you’ve exceeded the upload time allowed for all of your class sessions.  Please make sure that your semester request includes all of the courses that you’ll need course notes for.
Due to their nature, we typically do not provide course notes for PE and online courses (unless there is pre-recorded or live lecture). Please let us know if you’re enrolled in one of these courses and still require course notes.
PowerPoint can be uploaded with your audio recordings. When uploading you will be given an option to include support material such as a PowerPoint presentation.
The optimal distance would be the front row of the classroom.
If you have any questions regarding notetaking services, please feel free to let us know through e-mail (notetaking@csueastbay.edu) or in person (LI 2400).

Furniture

If you’re having a consistent issue with your furniture placement, please let us know. We will contact the faculty members that teach  in these classrooms to help maintain the placement of the furniture.

Your furniture placement is integral to your classroom experience.

If you feel that there are any issues with your placement or feel that it can’t be fully communicated in your request, feel free to let us know through e-mail (asfurniture@csueastbay.edu) or in person (LI 2400).

Yes. This is so we are aware of which classrooms/schedules we will need to place and reserve  furniture in. While reminders to submit a request will be sent before the beginning of each semester, it is best to submit your request soon after you register for courses.
If your class is moved to a different room, please let your counselor know and/or send an email  to asfurniture@csueastbay with the old and new classroom locations.  We will arrange to have your furniture moved to the new location.
Your requested furniture will have a reserved sign labeled  with your initials and the days and times that furniture is reserved for you. If you find that your furniture isn't’t appropriately labeled or not labeled at all, please send an email to asfurniture@csueastbay.edu
Refer to the reserved sign to verify who the furniture is intended for.  If your classmate needs furniture accommodations, please refer them to Accessibility Services.
If you have any questions regarding furniture services that have not been addressed here, please feel free to let us know through e-mail (asfurniture@csueastbay.edu) or in person (LI 2400).

Closed Captioning of audio course materials is different from Real Time Captioning. Closed Captioning is provided for videos/audio that have already been recorded, while Real Time Captioning is provided during a live lecture or event.
