Commencement

On behalf of the faculty, staff and administration of California State University, East Bay, we would like to congratulate our undergraduate and graduate students receiving a credential, bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree. The commencement ceremonies are designed especially for you and your family members to join in the celebration of this momentous event in your lives. We are sure you are all very proud of your accomplishments, and we at the University are proud of you as well.

2022 Commencement Ceremonies

 

Classes of 2020 and 2021

The university will be hosting a special in-person commencement ceremony for the Class of 2020 and Class of 2021 on Thursday, May 12 at 5:00pm. For more information on your ceremony details, click on Classes of 2020 & 2021 Commencement.

 


Class of 2022

The university will be hosting several in-person commencement ceremonies based on major/program between Friday, May 13 and Sunday, May 15 throughout each day. For more information on your specific ceremony, click on the Ceremonies tab.

Eligible Graduates

The commencement celebration will include all students who have filed for graduation for Fall 2021, Spring 2022 and Summer 2022.
The Classes of 2020 and 2021 will only be included in their specific commencement on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.
Please note: All commencements are contingent upon state and local health orders approving large gatherings.
  • Alumnus Gene Luen Yang (MS ’03, Education) was the recipient of a prestigious MacArthur Foundation “Genius Grant” in 2016.
