Accessibility Accommodations

Graduates and guests with mobility, hearing, or other disabilities that require special accommodations should submit the Commencement Accommodations for Graduates and Guests with Disabilities form.

The purpose of this form is to help us prepare for our graduates and guests at Commencement. This form is NOT a reservation. All accessible parking and ADA seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

You may also contact Accessibility Services at 510-885-3868, or by email at as@csueastbay.edu to make an accommodation request.

Ceremony Information

The ceremonies will take place at two different locations depending on the graduate's ceremony. Most of the seating is accessible and parking lots are fairly close to the ceremony sites. We will have golf cart shuttles roaming the parking lots to assist graduates and guests to get closer to the ceremony entrances.

Parking

The commencement ceremonies require a special commencement parking permit to park on campus. Each commencement ceremony will have their own unique special commencement parking permit that will only be valid on its designated date. Vehicles with a DMV-issued Disabled Persons Parking Placard or license plate must also have a special commencement parking permit (distributed to graduates) to park on campus for all Hayward ceremonies.
