Hayward Ceremony

Each graduate will receive 3 parking permits for commencement. Parking permits will be available at GradFest and then directly from Parking & Alternative Transportation Services

Note: Graduates and guests should anticipate traffic delays, especially on Mission Boulevard. Please allow extra time for travel. You will need this special parking permit to park on campus during commencement. Normal parking permits will not work. Carpooling is strongly suggested. The shuttle will be running from Hayward BART station only.

Parking Permit

The Hayward campus commencement ceremonies require a special commencement parking permit to park on campus.  Each commencement ceremony will have their own unique special commencement parking permit that will only be valid on its designated date. You can obtain your parking permits at Grad Fest and then directly from Parking & Transportation Services Department located in the Student and Faculty Support Building, SF140.

Vehicles with a DMV-issued Disabled Persons Parking Placard or license plate must also have a special commencement parking permit to park on campus.  Accessible shuttles will be available to transport guests to the ADA seating area on the field. Only one person may accompany a guest with a disability on the shuttle and in the ADA seating area.

Shuttle Services

For the Hayward Undergraduate ceremonies, the University will be running shuttle service to and from the Hayward BART station ONLY beginning at 8 a.m. and will continue to run until a few hours after the ceremony. Please note the BART station is the Hayward BART station, not the South Hayward BART station. The shuttles will run approximately every 30 - 40 minutes depending on traffic. Please plan accordingly if you plan on taking BART.
