Registration & Tickets

We are excited to celebrate the achievements of our Fall 2023, Spring 2024, and Summer 2024 graduates during our upcoming commencement ceremonies. Here's what you need to know:

  1. Eligibility: Graduates who have applied for graduation in Fall 2023, Spring 2024, or Summer 2024 are eligible to receive tickets for their respective commencement ceremony.
  1. Registration: Students who are Fall 2023, Spring 2024, or Summer 2024 degree candidates as of March 1st will receive a message on March 18 from their horizon.csueastbay email to register. They will be asked to RSVP to the in-person commencement and submit the pronunciation of their name recording.

  1. Ticket Distribution: Each eligible graduate will receive tickets for their designated ceremony via their horizon.csueastbay email on April 1, 2024. The quantity of tickets allocated will vary by ceremony, and this information will be clearly indicated when you claim your tickets.

  1. Maximum Seating Limit: Please be aware that we are unable to accommodate any additional attendees beyond the maximum limit set by the fire marshal. Our seating capacity adheres to a specific formula that considers the number of graduates per ceremony and the maximum allowable seating capacity. As a result, we regret that we cannot issue any additional tickets. However, should any fellow graduate in your same ceremony not require all of their assigned tickets, you may obtain their extra tickets from them.
  1. Guest Ticket Requirement: To attend the commencement ceremony, all guests aged 4 and older must have a ticket. Children under the age of 3 are exempt and can sit on their chaperone's lap.
  1. Ticket Availability for Summer 2024 Late Filing Graduates: For Summer 2024 graduates who apply for graduation during the late filing period of Mar 2 - April 2, access to tickets will be available starting on April 20, 2024. An email notification will be sent to your CSUEB student horizon email account, indicating that your tickets are ready for claim.
  1. Claiming Your Tickets: Graduates are required to claim their tickets using our convenient online ticketing system. To log in, please use your CSUEB student Horizon email and your netID as the password.
  1. Extra TicketsIf you need extra tickets, we suggest you visit the CSU East Bay Commencement Facebook and ask your fellow students who are attending the same ceremony if they have extras they can spare.
  1. Ticket Usage Policy: We would like to emphasize that these tickets are provided free of charge to our graduates and are not for sale or resale. Any graduates found selling their tickets will have them voided.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the safety and comfort of all attendees during our commencement ceremonies. We look forward to celebrating this significant milestone with you. Congratulations on your achievements!
