Case Management Services

What is Case Management?

Cal State East Bay's Case Manager coordinates support efforts for students facing emergencies, financial challenges, and other barriers to their success. Any student who is facing these challenges can be referred to the Case Manager regardless of their needs, and they will work with the student to address issues through resources and referrals.

What does the Case Manager do?

  • Connect directly with students of concern
  • Assess the student’s needs
  • Develop a plan of action tailored to the student
  • Arrange appropriate referrals and services
  • Assist students in accessing services, both on and off-campus
  • Collaborate with students to strengthen their support systems
  • Advocate for students individually and systemically
  • Encourage self-advocacy in students
  • Follow up with students to help them stay on track toward success
