Writing Programs at Cal State East Bay are innovative, lively, and interesting, engaging faculty, students, and the community in our effort to make successful writing part of every aspect of our lives and our education. We support the work of the The Student Center for Academic Achievement, and we encourage students to work with SCAA staff to improve their writing in their composition classes and in their major classes.
We also offer faculty resources to support their teaching. These include the following:
- Information for Faculty Teaching Writing (Composition Faculty Handbook)
- Information on Copyright and Plagiarism
Students in the M.A. English and M.A. English/TESOL option program can apply for graduate teaching associate (GTA) positions in the writing program. The policies and procedures related to the GTA application and appointment process are currently being revised by the Department of English in consulation with the CLASS Associate Dean.
