Hailey Corum

ASI Director of Sustainability

Hailey Corum is a second year environmental science major at Cal State East Bay where she serves as the ASI Director of Sustainability. Her passion for the environment was sparked from a high school course titled Social Justice in Food. There, she learned about the food cycle, soil restoration, and sustainable practices. Sustainability is often rebranded as a new product to purchase; it is greenwashed to the maximum these days. Hailey wants students to know that being environmentally conscious includes working with what you already have - not investing in completely new materials. Her goal in serving CSUEB is to promote second hand resources and encourage individuals to think about their carbon footprints.
