“Education is education. We should learn everything and then choose which path to follow." Education is neither Eastern nor Western, it is human.”Malala Yousafzai

Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani educational rights advocate and author who, by the age of 20, became the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize, give a speech to the United Nations and have a fund created in her name which champions every girl’s right to 12 years of free, safe and quality education.

Transfer-APASS honors Malala for continuing to be a pioneer for educational equality. She symbolizes hope, perseverance and dedication because she continues to tell her story and the importance of education even after surviving multiple adversities including an assassination attempt.
