Call for Art

2026 Rising Annual Juried Exhibition

Note: This is a juried exhibition. Only artworks selected by a guest juror (TBA) — a local art professional — will be included.  Selected artists are eligible for awards and scholarships from generous donors and the CSU East Bay Art Department. 

Eligibility

  • Open to current CSU East Bay students enrolled in or having completed an art course during the 2025/26 academic year.

  • Submit up to two (2) recent artworks from Fall or Spring 2025 semesters.

  • Older works will not be accepted (2024 or previous).

Acceptable Media

Painting, sculpture, photography, works on paper (drawing, collage, mixed media, graphic design), digital artwork, audio/video, stop motion, animation, motion graphics, website, interactive media, or video game design. Works on paper must be framed and ready to hang.

Acceptance emails sent by 12 PM

Feb 9-11 (Monday–Wed)

Pickup for works not selected, 12–4 PM

February 16–23 (1 week)

Exhibition installation (Gallery closed)

Exhibition opens

Awards Reception & Ceremony, 5:30–8 PM (ceremony begins at 6 PM)

March 23–26 (Mon–Thrs)

Artwork pickup, 12–4 PM (All work must be collected)

 

 

How to Submit

  1. Complete the [2026 Annual Juried Exhibition Submission Form] - https://forms.gle/vGdgdVnYeXCv8jqx8

  2. After submitting, email artgallery@csueastbay.edu with:

    • Subject: “2026 Annual Juried Exhibition Submission – [Your Name]”

    • Properly labeled images or video files

    • Artwork information: title, medium, size, and year

Artwork Documentation

Provide high-quality documentation — full views and detail shots (label detail images clearly).

Image Requirements:

  • 1920 px (longest dimension)

  • 72 dpi, JPEG format

  • File name: FirstLast_1.jpg, FirstLast_2.jpg

  • Include title, medium, size, and year in email

  • For 3D works, include images from multiple angles.

Video/Digital Work:

  • Format: MP4, 1080p, native aspect ratio

  • Include title frame and end credits

  • Attach a screenshot or description with your file

  • Incomplete or glitched files will not be accepted
