Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) Internship
The CAP Program partners with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) through the LLNL x CSUEB Talent Pipeline Program to provide paid internship opportunities for CSUEB students in high-impact STEM roles. Launched in Spring 2025 and continuing again in Spring 2026, this internship places one undergraduate student as a Software Developer Intern within LLNL’s Computing Department. The intern contributes to the development of an enterprise-level, risk-informed decision-making tool that supports national security and infrastructure planning efforts for LLNL and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Through this experience, students gain hands-on exposure to software development, advanced analytics, and mission-driven research in a nationally recognized laboratory committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Intuitive Surgical, Inc.
For the past two years in the Fall, the CAP Program has partnered with Intuitive Surgical, Inc. to host a one day immersive, on-campus event that introduce students to cutting-edge robotic surgical technology and industry career pathways. Through interactive demonstrations, students gain hands-on exposure to Intuitive’s state-of-the-art surgical robot while engaging directly with industry professionals. The partnership also includes career development talks and Q&A sessions focused on careers at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and engineering, helping students connect academic preparation with real-world applications in the medical technology industry.
