Log In

Your CSU East Bay email account uses your NetID password. You can reset your password using the CSU East Bay Password Reset Tool.

Faculty and staff managing secondary email accounts can reset passwords through Email Services.

Web Login

Important: Make sure you're signed out of any personal Office365, or Hotmail accounts before logging in.
  1. Go to https://outlook.office365.com
  2. Enter your CSU East Bay email address and click Next
  3. You'll be redirected to the NetID Login — enter your email or NetID and password
  4. Select Login
  5. To sign out: click Sign Out and close your browser

Check Email Using a Client or Device

Using Microsoft Outlook

Microsoft Outlook will auto-configure when you enter your CSU East Bay email and password then select the Microsoft 365 account type.

  • Microsoft Outlook 365 (Windows/Mac first use): Setup dialog opens on first launch
  • Microsoft Outlook 365 (Windows): Control Panel → Mail → Profiles
  • Microsoft Outlook for Mac: Outlook Menu → Tools → Accounts... → Add email address - Connect using Microsoft 365

Mobile Device:

  1. Download Microsoft Outlook from the Apple or Android App Stores
    Apple Devices: download Apple app
    Android Devices: download Android app
  2. Open the app and enter your CSU East Bay email and password when prompted

Install Microsoft Office on a Personal Computer

  1. Sign in at https://outlook.office365.com
  2. Select the App Launcher (grid icon) → Microsoft 365
  3. Select More Apps → Install apps
  4. Follow on-screen instructions to install

Using Outlook Web Access (OWA)

Access to web-based version of Outlook and Accessibility settings:

  1. Sign in to Outlook using your CSU East Bay email address
  2. Access your email from any computer
  3. Accessibility Settings: Select Options (Gear Icon) → Options → Settings → General tab
  4. Select Accessibility to review features

Access Other Microsoft Services

Faculty and staff receive access to OneDrive and Office Online automatically.

Log in to your email and select the App Launcher (grid icon) to access additional Microsoft 365 Apps.
