CSUEB applicants (current students as well as alumni) who meet the Campus Deadline of will participate in an interview prior to the National Deadline.

CSUEB Campus Deadline (completed application must be submitted online) is September 1, 2024

  • Where: interviews will be conducted via Zoom.
  • When: most interviews are scheduled in September (based on availability of applicant and committee members)
  • Who: The committee will be comprised of the Fulbright Program Advisor and two to four faculty members. We will try to include faculty who are familiar with your field and/or the country to which you are applying, but this is not always possible. We will also try to include interviewers who are familiar with the language of the country to which you are applying.
  • How long: The interview will last approximately a half hour to an hour.
  • We intend to conduct interviews early enough so that applicants have an opportunity to make edits to the application (if desired) after receiving feedback from the committee.
  • If you are unable to meet the campus submission deadline, we will notify the Fulbright U.S. Student Program that we were not able to conduct a campus interview for you.
