In 1961, the first credential was completed at California State University, East Bay (then Alameda County State College). Nearly fifty years later, we have prepared over 18,000 educators across multiple disciplines – teaching, reading, school counseling, school psychology, special education, speech-language pathology, and administration.

Keynote Speaker - Caleb Cheung
Caleb Cheung
Caleb Cheung has worked in the Oakland Unified School District for the past 16 years as a middle school science teacher and Science Manager at the district level. He received his teaching credential from CSU Hayward and is also National Board Certified in Early Adolescent Science. In 2005, Caleb won the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching and from 2006-2009, he served as a Commissioner and the Chair of the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

The event will be held in the New University Union. Upon arriving to campus, please look for road signage that directs you to Parking Lot B which is directly across the street from the event. Look for balloons along the staircase located close to the event entrance.
