Students and Parents
While students are many times the beneficiaries of private support, parents and families often choose to support Cal State East Bay with a gift to scholarships and programs that are meaningful to their university experience.
Many of our donors choose to support Cal State East Bay because they believe in you, our students. If you are a student seeking aid to help you with school or other expenses, here are some helpful resources:
Annual Giving: Parents and families can support their favorite programs several times throughout the year—during Giving Tuesday, direct appeals by email or mail, or simply by making a gift online through our secured online form.
Please note: Gifts may be made to support departments and programs, but not specific students.
And, if your phone rings with a caller ID of 510-885-3000, it may just be one of our students—maybe your own!— from the Calling Center reaching out to you.
Matching Gifts: Does your employer make your gift twice as nice? Many companies match their employees’ charitable contributions on a dollar-for-dollar or more basis. Check today to see if your employer matches your gift to Cal State East Bay.
Corporate and Foundation Support: Many parents lead companies and hold key volunteer positions on boards for organizations whose missions align with Cal State East Bay.
Other ways to give include providing for the university in a planned or estate gift, donating gifts-in-kind or gifts of securities, and parents who work for Cal State East Bay can contribute through payroll deduction.
Families can directly support their favorite department or program on campus. Check our staff list to connect with the Cal State East Bay development director who can specifically help you.
