Undergraduate students who have completed 90 units are required to begin steps to satisfy the UWSR as soon as possible. In addition, undergraduate and graduate students must make progress toward satisfying the University Writing Skills Requirement (UWSR) in order to become eligible to apply for graduation. Delaying this requirement may jeopardize your ability to graduate in a timely fashion. For further information, please visit www.csueastbay.edu/WST.
All students may participate in the annual Commencement ceremony regardless of whether their degree has been posted. The posting or conferral of the degree will occur within three months after the end of the term in which you filed for graduation upon verification that all degree requirements have been met. The printed Commencement program will include the names of all students who filed for graduation from the prior Fall term through the Summer term. Please note: Publication of names in the event program does not constitute graduation from the university.
Commencement Ceremonies and information about caps, gowns, photos and other graduation items can be found at the Commencement Web site.
