Parking on Campus - Permits Required

Parking permits are required at Cal State East Bay when students, faculty, staff or visitors are parking their vehicle on campus Mondays-Thursdays from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the Hayward and Concord campuses. As our campus has remained open, with many staff continuing to work on the Hayward campus, and students remaining in the Residence Halls, the university continues to maintain its Parking and Alternative Transportation Services.

While some regional municipalities may have changed their parking requirements, the university uses parking fees to support parking services. For the Fall 2020 semester, many courses will be held virtually; students only need to purchase a parking permit if they plan to park a vehicle on campus. Additionally, the first week of the semester, the university provides a parking grace period and citations will not be issued during this time.
