Please continue to check back periodically for shuttle updates. With Spring Semester courses mostly virtual and minimal staff on campus, we may continue to adjust the schedule.
The Hayward BART shuttle will run a reduced schedule. Shuttle will run approximately every 40 minutes. Service times will be as follows:
Hayward BART
Monday - Friday: 7:20am - 6:00pm
Saturday & Sunday: 8:00am - 10:15pm
AC Transit #60 will be running during this time. For AC Transit’s schedule, click here.
Due to low ridership, the campus shuttle to/from Castro Valley BART is cancelled. Shuttles to/from the Hayward BART Station will continue to run. We will resume service to the Castro Valley BART once in-person classes are offered again. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.
Parking permits are required at Cal State East Bay when students, faculty, staff or visitors are parking their vehicle on campus Mondays -Thursdays from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the Hayward and Concord campuses. As our campus has remained open, with many staff continuing to work on the Hayward campus, and students remaining in the Residence Halls, the university continues to maintain its Parking and Alternative Transportation Services.
While some regional municipalities may have changed their parking requirements, the university uses parking fees to support parking services. For the Spring 2021 semester, many courses will be held virtually; students only need to purchase a parking permit if they plan to park a vehicle on campus. Daily/Hourly permits can be purchased on campus at any of the five Parking Permit Dispensers. Student Spring Semester permits can be purchase online here beginning January 1, 2021.
