BART Service Updates

Service Advisory:

  • BART plans to return to near pre-pandemic service levels and hours starting August 30, 2021. Highlights of our August 30th, 2021 schedule change: Return to midnight closure Monday-Saturday (Sundays will have a 9pm closure); Reduce the wait time between trains on weekdays back to only 15 min from 5am-8pm with 30-min frequency from 8pm-midnight; Return to 5 route service & 6am opening on Saturday with added trains. BART can't return to midnight service Monday-Saturday before August 30th because to extend hours, BART must hire additional train operators and station agents which requires several months of mandatory training.
  • Face coverings still required through Sept. 13, 2021.
