Textbooks in Accessible Formats
Notice about Textbooks in Accessible Format
Please note the following when preparing to submit your request:
- You must be enrolled in courses to submit your request.If there are special circumstances preventing you from enrolling, please notify Accessible Media in the "Comments" portion of the request form.
- Review your textbook information via Pioneer Bookstore or
- You should still submit a request even if textbook information is not available during enrollment, please indicate the exact language used in reference to the course. Examples:
- No book required
- Course Materials are being finalized
- No bookstore supplied materials. See Instructor.
- Course materials have not been determined
- Receipts may be submitted at a later date. However textbooks will not be released until proof of purchase is verified. You are not required to submit any additional paperwork to submit your request.
Course Materials in Accessible Format
This accommodation is for non-textbook course materials (e.g. items uploaded to Canvas by your professor or linked in your syllabus). If your professor uploads a textbook on Canvas this would be a textbook request not a course materials request. Please identify in the form
- Types of materials you need converted (handouts, PowerPoint, articles, etc)
- Format you wish to receive from our team
- Comments for consideration (e.g., only need PDF files longer than 2 pages, hard copy large print for on-ground courses, etc).
- If you need different formats for in person versus online classes
Once your request is received, the Accessible Media team will verify your courses and begin contacting your Instructors for access to materials. Please check your student email inbox regularly for communication about your request.
