The University

The Department
The Department of Teacher Education offers Multiple Subject Credentials and Single Subject Credentials in Art, English, History/Social Studies, Mathematics (All areas including advanced), Music, Physical Education, Science (General and Integrated) and LOTE. The Department offers a Master's of Science (MS) degree in Education with four options: Curriculum, Educational Technology Leadership, Reading Instruction, and Early Childhood Education.
California State University, East Bay with the Office of Academic Affairs conducts pre-employment screening that may include, but is not limited to: criminal check, verification of academic credentials, licenses, certificates, and /or verification of work history. Successful candidates will be required to complete the Live Scan background check process as a condition of employment.
Part-Time Lecturers and Field Placement Supervisors
The Department of Teacher Education seeks part-time lecturers to teach courses and supervise student teachers. Courses may be scheduled at either the Hayward Hills or Concord Campuses. Instructional teaching applicants must possess a master's degree in education or a related field. Field Supervision applicants must possess a Teaching Credential. All applicants must have at least three years of full-time teaching experience in K-12 settings.
