Priority Application Process

Continue your journey as a Pioneer in Student Housing and Residence Life!

We highly encourage our current residents to apply while the Priority Application is open as it grants priority over non-residents during this limited time. The room assignment times will not be on a first-come-first-serve basis but instead randomly generated by our database, however, in an attempt to best manage the process in terms of room selection consolidation, priority may be assigned to those with larger roommate groups. Aside from the consolidation piece, all those who complete their contract during the Priority Application Process will have equal chances when it comes to room selection times regardless of when the application was submitted as long as it’s within the application timeframe.

To give all students the opportunity to see their housing options for the upcoming year Student

Housing has launched its first-ever virtual tours. Check out the links below:

Accommodations

To best accommodate our diverse student population, we offer Open Gender, Co-Ed, non-traditional age, ADA compliant, service animals, and emotional support animals housing options.

If any of the accommodations mentioned are required it is important that applicants self-identify during the housing application and contract. Further, we advise all students to connect with the Accessibility Services Office to request for an intake appointment to discuss options that would best support their needs.

Roommate Group creation and Room Selection Process

Priority Application participants will have the opportunity to participate in the Roommate Group creation, which will allow you and your intended roommates to have priority to select a room/apartment with each other. To prepare for this process:

  1. Connect with interested individuals and confirm that there is mutual interest and ability for everyone to room with each other.
  2. Mutually establish agreement that everyone will participate in the Priority Application together.
  3. Identify potential room accommodations that you would be interested in pursuing, including which communities and which floors.
  4. Identify a “leader” as that person will select the room and roommates
  5. Leader Task - Review the Roommate Group and Room Selection page to understand how to set-up the requests when the date opens up for you.

For more information regarding this part of the process, please visit the Roommate Group and Room Selection page for detailed information.
