Individual Counseling

Counseling is currently providing both telehealth appointments, and in person appointments at the Hayward clinic.  Please note that for Summer 2022, only students who have paid the summer Health Fee are eligible for services.  However, all students are welcome to join our Mindful Monday or Wellness Wednesday counseling groups this summer, regardless of fees.  See our Group Counseling page for details.

Counseling Services help students with any issues impacting their lives.  Individual counseling is a one-on-one, confidential meeting.  The counselor will do several things with you;

  • Talk with you about what concerns and challenges you may be facing.
  • Help you identify your strengths and resources.
  • Collaborate with you to develop a plan for addressing your concerns.
  • Suggest additional services which may be of benefit to you, both within the Counseling center, elsewhere on campus, or in the community.

Here are some of the issues students frequently bring to individual counseling:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Relationships
  • Family Problems
