Freshman Orientation

Undergraduate students are required to participate in one session (either in person or vitual) of the Student Life and Leaderships Orientation Programs Orientation as well as the Mandatory In-Person Immigration Orientation presented by CIE.

Virtual Orientation OptionIf you are unable to attend an in-person session, you will be required to attend an online (Zoom) orientation on Aug 3rd, 2022. More information will be available at a later date. Registration information is below. 

CIE Mandatory In-Person Immigration Orientation- CIE will be holding an immigration and international student essentials orientation on Monday Aug 15th, 2022 from 8:30am- 4pm. Registration link will be provided soon.

Transfer Students

International Transfer students are required to participate in one session (either in person or vitual) of the Student Life and Leaderships Orientation Programs Orientation as well as the Mandatory In-Person Immigration Orientation presented by CIE.

Graduate Students

International Graduate Students are required to attend a virtual Orientation and complete Orientation Modules via Blackboard hosted by the Student Life and Leadership's Orientation Team. Graduate students are also required to attend the Mandatory In-Person Immigration Orientation presented by CIE.

Virtual Graduate Student Orientation

Student Life and Leadership's Orientation Team will host a Graduate/Post Bac Online Orientation on August 11th, 2022 from 10am-2pm PST. Registration information is below. 

CIE Mandatory In-Person Immigration Orientation- CIE will be holding an immigration and international student essentials orientation on Monday Aug 15th, 2022 from 8:30am- 4pm. Registration link will be provided soon.

*Graduate students should also watch this Graduate Student Orientation video prepared by the Office of Graduate Studies.  As explained in the video, please also contact your academic department for your department orientation as some graduate programs may have their own orientations. 

Orientation Registration Process for the Student Life Orientation Options:

Once you have submitted your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR), you will be able to register for Orientation through MyCSUEB.  To sign up for orientation, please go to MYCSUEB and sign in. When you sign in click on the classic view then on the applicant view and once you are on that view to the right there is going to be a tab that says student orientation. Click that and you will be able to choose the orientation of your choosing. If you are unable to select an Orientation date, the specific Orientation program has reached capacity and we request that you choose from an available session.
