Virtual Pre-Departure Orientations 

We have scheduled a number of pre-departure orientations via zoom to review important next steps for students to take before arriving on campus.  Admitted students will receive invitations via their Horizon email for the link to register in advance.

Fall 2026 New International Student Orientation

We are hosting our international student orientation on Monday, August 10th alongside the Student Life and Involvement Center (SLIC). Please plan on spending the whole day with us!  Lunch will be provided. 

When: Monday, August 10, 2026 at 8:30 AM

Please make sure to review our International Student Handbook for F-1 and J-1 students before coming to orientation.

 

Fall 2026 Online Check-In Procedure

For new international students who will be inside the USA for Fall 2026, you must complete the virtual "check-in" procedure after your arrival by submitting the following documents via an online form that will be sent to your HORIZON email. 

  1. New Student Information Form- this must include a valid USA address and US phone number. Do NOT submit your check-in documents until you can fully complete this form.
  2. Passport- copy of your bio page in your passport
  3. F1 visa- copy of the official visa in your passport
  4. I-94 (www.cbp.gov/i94)
    • I-94 Record page 

If you are transferring from another school in the U.S. (from any level - high school, undergraduate, or graduate) as an F-1 student, you must complete the transfer of your SEVIS record to Cal State East Bay within 15 days of the beginning of the semester.
