On-Campus Housing
On-Campus Housing Options
Space reservations for the Cal State East Bay's on-campus student apartments, Pioneer Heights, are based upon receipt of the housing license and initial payment, and are given on a first-come, first-served basis. All on-campus housings consist of apartments of 2-4 bedrooms. All rooms in the apartments are double occupancy except for two buildings within Pioneer Heights that offer single apartments reserved for upper classmen.
Student Housing and Residence Life Brochure - shows photos and floor plans of both student housing options.
Accommodation and Rates - Payments may be made in installments. Additional information regarding housing costs and installment plans is provided in the student housing license agreement packet. Housing license agreements are based upon the academic calendar year only, August-June. Cancellation fees apply for breaking the contract.
Pioneer Heights
This set of 10 buildings are located on the Southeast side of campus next to the Dining Commons and across the street from the Recreation and Wellness Center and CSUEB shuttle bus stop. All the apartments are fully furnished including a kitchen with refrigerator, dining area, living room, bathroom, and storage. All bedrooms are double or triple occupancy except for two buildings allocated for upper division students and graduate students. The apartment complex also has a two laundry locations, a study room, community room with a TV, a billiards table and a table tennis table.
To apply you must complete an application on the Housing Portal. NOTE: Space in Pioneer Heights fills quickly, so you will need to apply soon after the Housing Portal opens (usually May 1) in order to avoid disappointment. If you wish to apply for housing after the Housing Portal has closed, you will need to submit an International Student Housing Interest Form.
